Last Updated: 12 May 2025 | Capytal, No. 44, Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Capytal website and learning platform accessible at capytal.blog (the "Platform") and the personal finance education services made available through it. Capytal is operated from No. 44, Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
By accessing the Platform or purchasing any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform or purchase our services.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of the agreement between you and Capytal.
2. Eligibility
Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and above. By using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Access to the Platform is offered to individuals resident in Malaysia and, at our discretion, other locations. We make no representation that our content is appropriate or lawful in all jurisdictions.
3. Our Services
Capytal offers personal finance education through the following service tiers:
- Single Course Access (RM 470): access to one self-paced money-literacy course of your choice, including lessons, worksheets, and a community discussion thread.
- Pathway Membership (RM 1,500): ongoing access to a curated pathway of courses, templates, and a learner community, with monthly group Q&A sessions.
- Full Library Programme (RM 4,200): a comprehensive self-paced library covering budgeting, saving, and everyday money concepts, including all courses, pathways, and a certificate of attendance.
All content provided through the Platform is for general educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on the Platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or any other regulated advice. Capytal is not a licensed financial adviser and does not provide personalised recommendations. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.
4. Enrolment and Payment
To access a paid service, you must complete the enrolment process and pay the applicable fee. Prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Payment is processed securely through our payment partner. We do not store your full payment card details. By submitting a payment, you authorise Capytal to charge the stated amount for the selected service.
Access to the relevant course, pathway, or library will be granted upon confirmation of successful payment. Confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide during enrolment.
5. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Because our courses are delivered digitally and access is granted immediately upon payment confirmation, we are generally unable to offer refunds once access has been granted. Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion in the following circumstances:
- You have not accessed any course content following purchase, and you submit a written refund request within 7 calendar days of purchase.
- A material technical error on our side prevented you from accessing the content you paid for.
To request a refund under these circumstances, contact us at [email protected] with your name, order reference, and a description of the issue. We will respond within 10 business days.
For Pathway Memberships, access continues until the end of the paid period. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of the current period.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including course videos, written materials, worksheets, graphics, templates, and the Capytal name and logo — is owned by or licensed to Capytal and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Your enrolment gives you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the course content for your own private, non-commercial learning. You may not:
- reproduce, distribute, or publicly share any course content;
- record, screenshot, or create derivative works from the Platform materials;
- sell, sublicence, or transfer access to any other person;
- use course materials for commercial training, resale, or any purpose other than your own personal education.
Capytal reserves all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.
7. Community and Discussion Threads
Some service tiers include access to community discussion threads or group Q&A sessions. When participating, you agree to:
- communicate respectfully and constructively with other learners and Capytal staff;
- refrain from sharing personal financial information that could identify you or others;
- avoid posting spam, promotional material, or content unrelated to personal finance education;
- not use community spaces to solicit or advertise any financial products, services, or schemes.
Capytal reserves the right to moderate, remove content from, or restrict access to community spaces for users who do not comply with these guidelines.
8. Certificates of Attendance
A certificate of attendance is issued upon completion of all components of the Full Library Programme. The certificate confirms participation in the programme; it is not a professional qualification, accreditation, or regulated certification. Capytal makes no representation about the recognition of the certificate by any employer, professional body, or regulatory authority.
9. Limitation of Liability
Capytal provides its services on an "as available" basis. While we work to maintain an accessible and accurate platform, we do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from inaccuracies.
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Capytal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on its content, including but not limited to any financial decisions you make after engaging with our courses.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service to which the claim relates.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or tools. These are provided for convenience only. Capytal does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content or practices of any third-party site. Your use of those sites is subject to their own terms and policies.
11. Modifications to Services and Terms
Capytal reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Platform or our services at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where possible.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer under Malaysian law.
